Game time!!

Yay!! Today we finally played a Wilson game!! To play you need:

3 bean bags
3 rubbish bins with nothing in them
12 hoops to put the rubbish bins in for the game
1 taped line across the floor.

To set up for the game you need to remove the furniture and put the hoops into 3 lines with 4 hoops per line. Then put the rubbish bins in the first hoop and the first person lines up behind the line that should be taped to the floor. The best place to put the tape is about 20cm away from the first hoop with the bin in it. You get 3 minutes to get as far as you can. If your feet go over the line when you throw the bean bag your bin goes back to the start. If you get it in you get one point then you go behind the next hoop and throw it to the next player in your team and if they catch it you get 2 points. It is the team with the most amount of points at the end. I recommend you have 3 people in charge of scoring and judging the peoples feet.

See you next term

Bookworm

Themes, does anyone have a theme for my crossword? It is all five letters across and I need help. This is what I was like this afternoon. Nicola gave us 5 stages of different types of crosswords to get words and write clues for. I only completed stage 1 because the next stage was 4 different crosswords that all needed themes. Man that is hard. The first crossword was a random word crossword. That was the easy one. Next week I will work on the themed one so I can start stage 3.

See you next week,

Claudia :)

Goodbye King

Bonjour. Welcome let me tell you a story. Black verses white. Who will win? I know black will. Today I played Madison in chess. I was black and she was white. Now you know who won. I did! How... you wonder? Well I had a Queen, 2 Pawns, a Rook and a Bishop. She only had her King. Let me conclude my story to a high point. I know I have said this before but I won!

I will change the future forever.

Today I made what will change the future, forever. That's right I made my drinks. One flavour orange and one lemon. It took a long time to make. This is the recipe.

4 Cups of water to keep hydrayted
1/4 of himalayan salt to stop cramping in the muscles
4 oranges for the flavor and natural sugars that are good for you
1 tsp of honey to make it sweet

Instructions
  1. Take the water and make it warm, but not hot!
  2. Add the himalayan salt
  3. Add all of the orange jucie and honey
  4. Sit the juice in fridge to cool off ready for serving

This is how I made the energy drink of the future. I will be testing 3 people to get their feedback.

The energy of the future!

Round this conner and straight down, I need some more energy. Try this. Off. I am in a hurry. Thanks bro. That is what will happen when I make a great sports drink. Today I made a recipe for my healthy long lasting energy drink. I also have a questionnaire ready for the 3 people that I am doing a blind testing for. I am making 3 different types of drinks. One apple, one orange and one lemon. After the blind taste testing I will get them to answer 6 questions. I am going to have so much fun next week, and also learn a lot next week.

See ya next week

Reflection Of The Term

Hey guys it is me again. The last day of Term 2 for me at Enrich!! Now I will tell you what I have learnt this term.
I have learnt all about scholars in Chess, learnt a lot about performance like getting into character and learning the lines of a monologue and heaps of warm up songs. The last thing I am going to tell you about is patterns. The patterns that I have been taught are Beauty, Order, Strength and Survivability or B.O.S.S.  Beauty is clothes and socks because they are attractive to look at . Order is chess boards because they stay in order. Strength is bridges because a bridge has bricks in a pattern. Survivability is animals in the wild and a zebra is great because it confuses the predator and they can run away.

Like an eagle

La la la la la. Today it was performance time! Singing is so much fun, I love it! The warm up activities are so much fun. I like to eat, I like to eat, I like to eat eat apples and bananas is one of the two warm ups we do. Another one goes like this 1,1,2,1,1,2,3,2,1,1,2,3,4,3,2,1,1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1,1,2,3,4,5,6,5,4,3,2,1,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,6,5,4,3,2,11,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, then start from 8 and do it backwards. This week we worked on one of our songs called " Like an eagle". We all had a part where we sung it alone. The first time when the lady wasn't singing I forgot to do my solo.
See you next  week.Claudia :)

My Fantasy Land

"Excuse me I am a princess." Not really but you will understand why in a few seconds.Today I entered another world to a place where I was a princess. There were horses and the best thing was there was Prince Charming waiting for me to arrive back from reality.   The castle was pink and white and I had a wonderful blue dress with white flowers on the top. This is what I call a little girls fantasy.

Did I go back to fantasy land again?

What I did to make a Princess was a monologue about a Whiney Princess who never gets what she wants. (This sort of sounds like me. ) We started filming these today. I will put my video up next week so you can watch me do my monologue. When we went into passion time Hannah, Kavarn and I recorded each other doing our monologues.See you next week. I will hopefully have a happy ending.Claudia :)

Learning survey

Patterns are everywhere. Today eight of us finished our keynotes on patterns . I have finished all the pictures but not everything is done because I still have to do the way the pictures and words come on and off. This is part of our Concept curriculum.

After the keynotes we went into passion time. For performance we all have monologues to learn off by heart. Mine is about a princess.

This afternoon I did a survey on my learning. This is the link to the survey.http://sunburst.usd.edu/~bwjames/tut/learning-style/stylest.html

This is what I got.

One girl and the paintbrush

Ahhhhh!! Spid-Spide..... I am just kidding, there is no spider but there is a paint brush and my best friend Katie.  Today my friend Katie led a student led workshop today about painting. Not using normal paint but watercolours.  We used two different techniques. They are called wet on wet and wet on dry. My favourite was the wet on dry because it gave great effects to my art and it was easier to do dark to light or light to dark. When we finished all four of the squares we had to wait for them to dry before we signed them.

The Pit

Hey. Today at Enrich we started off with a couple of student led workshops. For the people who did not do a student led workshop they did a teacher-led one about a ' pit. ' To get into the pit there is something or some one that may make you feel depressed, disappointed or angry. Sometimes it might be a lack of sleep. To find a way out of the pit we talked about what we need to do. Some ways are sleep, laughter and a whole lot more. We started talking about all the things we are scared of at night and how to solve the problem to make us not scared.

See you next week :)Claudia

Week 9 2013

Hey! Today I am typing my 100th blog post this week and I am happy. Today was one of the best days ever. This is how it started.

Drama anyone?Yes please. Today I started my day off with some drama!! With this drama group we will be performing and learning new songs to perform in front of an audience to boost up our confidence and be able to perform for larger audiences. At drama we started off with some fun drama games to warm us up for our auditions for this group. I did the cup song from the movie Pitch Perfect. The song was called "Miss me when I'm gone."

We had ten minutes to practice the thing we were doing for our audition. I got in!! After, we played a game when there was a host for a dinner party with three weird guests. The host had to guess who the three guests were. I was the host of Pippa, Hannah and Arnia. Pippa was a stutter, Arnia was a grumpy grandpa and Hannah was a drama teacher.See you next week Claudia

The green mystery

"Ready, set GO! Darryn yelled as we all started to aim for the green mystery, I mean the hoops.

As I had my throws it got harder and harder.

Smack!! The bean bag landed on the green mystery and it is not touching. eight points to team two. Hooray!!!!

As time went past we were only on sixteen points by the end of the round.

We were second. The green mystery strike again pushing my bean bag out. I was going to defeat the green mystery and I did.

Second time round we were all annoyed at the green mystery.

So instead we went for the green mystery's friend yellow hoop. She was a lot nicer than green mystery.

She was only worth six points but aiming for her was much better than missing the green mystery.

In the end team second came second all because of the green mystery.

See you next week

Claudia.

Lego Car!!

At the start of the year Enrich got some human size lego. This is the third attempt at trying to finish one thing off that Pippa, Sophia, Hannah and I built. We just finished it by the end of lunch. Pippa, Hannah and I worked on it at morning tea and Sophia came and helped at lunch. We all enjoyed making the car!! It was very hard to make because we got confused at the start because most of the time the the pieces normally connect  but this time the pieces weren't connected. We spent about and hour and a half working on this. The seat in the back is stable so we could sit on it.
