Today is the last day of the term. I am so sad that we have to leave Enrich but I am coming back next term. My 2 stars and a wish for the term - two good things and something I would change - is: I liked the 5 minute tasks when we have to group up. I also liked doing a passion project ( that was the best thing I liked about Enrich. ) My wish is that could chose if we could do a talent development instead of a passion project. My time at Enrich has taken me to a new level of learning.
- Today I played Pippa AGAIN AT CHESS!
- I had the same results as last time I played her by the way I played her last week ( as you can see below this blog post .)
- I like playing chess because it is cool and it helps your mind think.
- My special move I learnt from Darryn is that if you're white you move your pawn on the angle to the queen and if black moves her/him pawn in front of the king up one space then you move your queen in the space where the pawn was but you move your queen as far as it can go on a diagonal . You have won the game YAY!
Today it was our first day back at Enrich for the term. At the start of the day ( apart from the art group ) we got to choose what talent development we wanted to for the last term. The choices were science ( which I chose ) and maths. Today we started off with the temperature sensor on the science lab, measuring the room temperature, it was 25.7 °. Then we did our hand temperature, my hand was 42°. Then we used a light sensor to see the amount of light in either a candle, lamp, remote control and the dinoscope. The candle had the most light and the dinoscope had the least.
I played Pippa in a game of leader board chess. I moved my pawn up 1 space then I moved my queen on a angle, I got Pippa in check but not checkmate. I counted up our points while Pippa was moving her piece. It was 27-20. I was wining. But then I got my queen back now it was 12-36 because I had to give my pawn to Pippa. I won in the end.
